What are the side effects (does it work?) of clindamycin phosphate (for acne treatment) and when do you use it?
i do not have severe acne, more around moderate or in the middle of severe and moderate . i was prescribed a clindamycin phosphate topical gel yesterday and got it today, i am going to probably start using it tomorrow and was wondering what the side effects of this gel and if it actually has worked. i was my face twice a day and i am barely going to start using a moisturizer not prescribed . when do i apply the topical gel? after washing my face? do i use a moisturizer at all?

How to get accutane? For acne treatment.?
I have heard that accutane is the best medicine for the treatment of accutane. What is the procedure for how to get accutane? Do I need to see a dermatologist?

Could I use Calamine Lotion as a acne treatment and a makeup primer?
I saw online that it can be effective as an acne treatment. I tried it, and it has been working. I also noticed that it creates a dry, matte cover on my skin, which is pretty light anyways so the pink ness isn't very visible. I was thinking about using this as a makeup primer, because it seems to control oiliness and redness on my skin. Would this be like, allright? Would putting it under my makeup and wearing it all day affect my face in a negative way?

After acne treatments?
I did have acne infection spreading around the areas of my nose, chin and mouth areas which was quite bad Went to a dermatologist and she prescribed me with 1 Oral Erythromycin tablet 2 Differin topical gelThe results? My acne stopped appearing in just one day of taking the medication.Could it be that effective? I am quite shocked that it only took a day of medication to stop the acne and pimples from appearing which I suffered for almost 8 years ? So if thats the case, how long should I continue with taking these medications or should I use them for life?Another question is, now that the acne is gone, I am still left with this dark marks hyper pigmentation? from the after effects of those big nasty acne around my mouth areas. Would Differin help peel and clear these marks?

Prescribed acne treatments?
I had really bad acne when I was younger and was put on accutane when I was 12. My dermatologist told me that I may eventually have to go back on because I took it at such a young age. A few years later I started taking Tetracycline pills while using topical Retin A. The Tetracycline made me nauseous so I stopped taking it although the Retin A somewhat helped . It's been a few more years since I took the tetracycline and I think I'm going to make an appointment with my dermatologist soon. Are there any other medications I can ask him about during my next visit? Prom is in June and I want my face to look better by then, but I don't want to go through the awful dry skin and monthly pregnancy tests and everything that comes along with accutane. Can i use "Clindatech" the acne treatment solution on my blackheads?
So my doctor prescribed me with clindatech... i also have blackheads, could i use this solution on my nose? I don't want to see my doctor about this, because she doesn't know what is a blackhead. Thankyou so much

My dermatologist prescribed me Adaferin this powerful gel that exfoliates thick skin by peeling . My nose had black heads, and huge pores. So he told me to use it every night. Ive been using it for a week now, and I notice my nose is peeling. So, can I apply Clinique s Dramatically Different moisturizing gel during the day?Thanks. Btw I have combo skin oily in the T zone and normal, or dry in the cheeks.

Which kind of acne treatment could I switch to from using Proactiv?
I currently use Proactiv and it worked and everything for a while but it's like I've been getting a lot more breakouts. I currently have 3 or 4 pimples on my face and I usually have like none I know this girl who has the CLEAREST skin ever like celebrity skin and she only uses Clean and Clear and some Loreal stuff. So I want to switch to another acne product but I heard that it's hard to switch to other products while using Proactiv and you break out A LOT before it actually works. Is there anyone who has had this experience?I really wanna switch to something else but what else is gentle that wont make me break out while using or used to use proactiv? Well I have moderate severe acne...but it goes around more of the moderate area. I was thinking of trying Proactiv. Have you tried Proactiv? Did it clear your acne? How long we're you on it? After you stopped, did you break out more? How much was Proactiv per month for you...or is it per 2 3 months? Btw I'm 14...but I got my period when I was 11 and never had acne until now...which I don't get.

Can a acne treatment facial get rid of all your blackheads?

What is the best brand to use for mild acne treatment?
Until about a month ago, I have never had so much of a breakout on my face. It's along my hairline, my chin, above my lip, and on the sides of my face. I also have blackheads all over my nose. Over the summer, I purchased kiehl's rare earth facial cleanser and mask. It didn't really do anything for me, except keep my face clean. The only thing that has worked for me are biore's nose strips. I need a decently priced cleanser or mask that will get rid of my pimples. The only thing is though, I don't want it to dry out my face. What could I use?

I have back acne and on my chest aswell i really dnt want to take oral medication, so i was wondering if anybody knows about a home treatment that actually works, and takes away my acne, i shower everyday and i still get acne. Alright here's the deal. I have mild acne. I'm graduating college soon, getting ready for interviews, so I'm ready to look like a big boy.I've tried a lot of acne treatments, including prescription on and off since I was a teen. Never really stuck with any of them. Recently I went in to the doctor at school, and she gave me Amoxicillin 500mg capsule oral medication plus Tretinoin Cream, 0.05 %. Oral medication has worked in the past, but I hated taking it cause it made my face burn and flake, and I just don't like taking medication, so I'm really trying to avoid meds.I couldn't even understand my doctor when she talked and prescribed this to me, and I looked online, and I'm seeing Amoxicillin used to treat throat, ears, and even gonorrhea. Is this really what I'm supposed to be taking?Im finally ready to stick with a treatment, any comments on what my doc prescribed me any alternatives that have worked for you that don't involve taking medication?
