Could I use Calamine Lotion as a acne treatment and a makeup primer?
I saw online that it can be effective as an acne treatment. I tried it, and it has been working. I also noticed that it creates a dry, matte cover on my skin, which is pretty light anyways so the pink ness isn't very visible. I was thinking about using this as a makeup primer, because it seems to control oiliness and redness on my skin. Would this be like, allright? Would putting it under my makeup and wearing it all day affect my face in a negative way?

What are the side effects (does it work?) of clindamycin phosphate (for acne treatment) and when do you use it?
i do not have severe acne, more around moderate or in the middle of severe and moderate . i was prescribed a clindamycin phosphate topical gel yesterday and got it today, i am going to probably start using it tomorrow and was wondering what the side effects of this gel and if it actually has worked. i was my face twice a day and i am barely going to start using a moisturizer not prescribed . when do i apply the topical gel? after washing my face? do i use a moisturizer at all?

What do you think are the best "acne treatments" out there?
I've been breaking out really bad lately & I was wondering what acne treatment you use that works for you. I tried Proactive but it stopped working for me after using it for a few months...What would you recommend I try?

Doctors acne treatment has made my face worse?!?
I've been using differin gel 3 % for almost a week now. At first results seemed good, with almost no spots, but that may have just been a normal unaffected spot free day. As time went on my face got much drier. It has now gotten very flaky, with noticable white dry skin. Also, around my eyes and on the right cheek the dryness has caused burns, similar to sunburn, which are flaky, cracked and darker very noticable. Even worse, my acne hasn't improved, it might even be worse He did say there'd be some dryness and redness within the first week though.. The burns on my face burn when I apply any cream. What should I do?? If I keep applying it will it get worse? or clear up? I might apply it for one more week then if it stays I'll stop. Any suggestions? Also any suggestions to hide the many burns and scars it has caused?? I'm a guy so make up is out of the question

My nose is peeling because I´m applying Adaferin (acne treatment gel) every night, what should I do?
My dermatologist prescribed me Adaferin this powerful gel that exfoliates thick skin by peeling . My nose had black heads, and huge pores. So he told me to use it every night. Ive been using it for a week now, and I notice my nose is peeling. So, can I apply Clinique s Dramatically Different moisturizing gel during the day?Thanks. Btw I have combo skin oily in the T zone and normal, or dry in the cheeks.

Prescribed acne treatments?
I had really bad acne when I was younger and was put on accutane when I was 12. My dermatologist told me that I may eventually have to go back on because I took it at such a young age. A few years later I started taking Tetracycline pills while using topical Retin A. The Tetracycline made me nauseous so I stopped taking it although the Retin A somewhat helped . It's been a few more years since I took the tetracycline and I think I'm going to make an appointment with my dermatologist soon. Are there any other medications I can ask him about during my next visit? Prom is in June and I want my face to look better by then, but I don't want to go through the awful dry skin and monthly pregnancy tests and everything that comes along with accutane. Thanks so much.
